Welcome! I’m Root, a queer, interreligious spiritual care provider.

I provide spiritual care for all people looking to expand their spiritual practices. Together we will use ritual and grounding practices to connect with your spirit and the Divine Mystery.

I also provide education on mythology, crafting ritual tools, gender, and disability, and the ways we can better create accessible spiritual spaces.

I am honored to live and work in the Dakota / Anishinaabe territories on the shore of Gichigamiing (Lake Superior) in Duluth, MN.  I acknowledge the harm that has been done to the original people of this land, that the settler-colonial project is ongoing, and that it impacts Indigenous people and particularly gender-expansive people, women, and children every day.  To learn more, visit https://mmiwusa.org/. “It's still magic even if you know how it's done.” - Terry Pratchett "A Hat Full of Sky"

  • There are many paths to spiritual fulfillment. None are the only way, and one or multiple may be the right ones for you. If a spiritual practice helps you connect with something bigger than yourself, you're on the right track!

  • Reach out. Connecting with someone for support in a spiritual direction, whether it be a chaplain, a minister, or a friend, can help put you in contact with a community of support.

  • I am an ordained Universal Life Church minister as well as a trained pagan priestex. I can work with you to develop a ritual for handfasting, rites of passage, and either facilitate or give you the training to facilitate your ritual.

  • Whether you prefer online tools or in-person workshops, we can work together on this journey of spiritual growth and empowerment. Together, we can work to deepen your connection to the Divine and explore the transformative potential of sacred rituals.
